Absolute Quantification of Sulfate-reducing Bacteria

Sulfate-reducing Bacteria (SRB) compete with methanogenic archaea for the hydrogen.

So high concentrations may be a reason for low methane yield.

This biomarker may be an indicator for controlling the doseage of iron.

As for all quantifications: Analysing samples before and after a treatment can demonstrate the effectiveness of the treatment.

Please note that this service is only available in combination with other analysis packages, at least a DNA extraction.

The result of this analysis comes within one workday after receiving the sample.

The full interpretation of this data requires knowledge of the physicochemical parameters of the digester. This analysis should be applied after consultation with the operator of your digester.
