Absolute Quantification of Methanoculleus sp.

Species of genus Methanoculleus are presumed to be highly efficient methane producers.

So the concentration of these hydrogenotrophic archaea may be an indicator for high performing fermenters. A low concentration offers opportunities to improve the process.

As for all quantifications: Analysing samples before and after a treatment can demonstrate the effectiveness of the treatment.

Please note that this service is only available in combination with other analysis packages, at least a DNA extraction.

The result of this analysis comes within one workday after receiving the sample.

The full interpretation of this data requires knowledge of the physicochemical parameters of the digester. This analysis should be applied after consultation with the operator of your digester.
